"Person I Admire the Most" (Amanda's Essay she had to write for School)

My mother is the most admirable person in my life. She's been understanding about all my choices I've made, good and bad. She holds so much patience, like it's a way of life. She always been there for me, through thick and thin.

I've made some choices in my life I wasn't too sure of. My mother was right there to reasure me along my journey through this thing called life. She praises me as she knows I've made good decisions. And, she understands that when life gets hard, it's very easy to get off track and loose sight of where I'm headed. When I fall, she understands. She's the main reason I keep getting up.

My mother is the appitamy of "Patience". When I was young, about five or six, I had a friend stay the night. When everyone was asleep especially my mom, my friend and I went into the bathroom and poured the hand soap all over the floor. We were slipin and slidin all over the bathroom floor. What a blast! Then... mom came in. Like two deers in a headlight, stopped dead in our track, well, we tryed but with all the soap on the floor didn't hinder us from sliding as our bodys were still. Mother stood there for a second. Looking at us with her patient eyes quiet as a mouse. She stepped into the bathroom and pushed herself off like she was on a ice skating rink. She slid over to us next to the tub. Her soft hands held ours. Her words spoken so softly, "Lets wash your feet and change to pajamas, you can clen this up in the morning". With that said, we wasshed off our feet that smelled like whipped honey, got into out footsie pajamas and went to bed. When we awoke in the morning there were towels in front of the bathroom door. She took pictures of us cleaning up the bathroom. She was so patient with us.

Like I said before, life gets hard sometime. And no matter what the cause, My mother's always there. I've ran out of gas several times in my car and with one quick call she's there like Super Woman. It doesn't matter if she's in the middle of dinner or reading a book. She comes. If I'm having a bad day I know I can always call her and she'll be on that phone with me saying "It's okay baby girl, this too will pass". And they always do.

In addition to my Mothers outstanding ability to be understanding, patient and reliable, she is THE best mother. I admire her every capabillity. Shes taught me to be the best I can be. And..... I am!

(Amanda wrote this for her class she had to write an Essay and she wrote this in May of 2011 age 22. Oh how I remember this night, how cute they were in that bathroom. I am very proud of my baby girl. And oh how much I love my baby girl! I Thank the Good Lord Every Day that he Gave YOU... AMANDA RAE to ME!)

To My Mom in Heaven

If flowers grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me ▬▬▬ place them in my Mom's arms and tell her they're from me. ▬▬▬ Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, ( ◕‿◕。) ღ ❤ place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Happy Mother's Day Mom - I miss you every minute of every day!

Just Thoughts!

Some people try to turn back their odometers.
Not me!
I want people to know 'why'
I look this way.
...I've traveled a long way
and some of the roads weren't paved.

"It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage."

It's not the destination, it's the journey!

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? ( and this would be my Stephanie!) LOL

Thought For A Day

We women are like cell phones,we like to be held and talked to,but push the wrong buttons and you will be disconnected !
